BEBE returned to New York City at the age of eight. There he became fascinated by the wide variety of ethnic music from Latin American countries, in addition to hip hop music. He became a basement DJ at the age of ten, the youngest in his neighborhood. He became so well-known in his neighborhood that people offered to pay him to DJ at all the Latino parties around town. Over time, BEBE became very knowledgeable of Latino music, including Dominican Merengue, Puerto Rican Salsa, most South American music (Vallenato being his favorite), and Mexican Mariachi music. These influences would later inspire his own musical creations.
BEBE's family moved to Texas for a few years. It was there he was exposed to Gangster Rap and Southern Style hip hop. It was at a CD release party in a Houston nightclub where he first performed live an English version of a track he plans to release in the near future, "What is Up." Since then, BEBE has been on a mission to create his own style as a Latino Artist. He is currently working with several producers to create his debut release, "En Mi Mente". Engineer/producer Jay Henry helped develop four unique and exciting tracks on this release. Producer Dominic Pesce at Audacity Productions is currently working on the title track.
In his future work, BEBE plans to team up with young Columbian accordion sensation Manuel Emilio. He also plans to revolutionize Latino house and Vallenato music by adding his own special flavor to both musical genres.
